Smokey Michigan
Smokey Michigan is rooted in a love for family and the great state of Michigan. When you combine a father-daughter duo with a tremendous love for cooking, the end result is bold flavors, mouth watering barbeque sauces, and savory all-purpose seasoning, among other handcrafted smokey treats. After two and a half years of perfecting recipes, Jeff and Michaela have decided to share their passion for cooking with those who love delicious food, by making their homemade barbeque cuisine available to all!
Michaela Levanseler
Michaela’s culinary journey began in grandma’s kitchen at a very young age, she went on to participate in several cooking competitions throughout school to represent the state of Michigan. Had the opportunity to work in different restaurants, including helping them start from the ground up. Michaela and her father continue to choose to give the best experience and taste they can offer, through providing quality products and a diversity of taste that’s led with passion.
Jeff LeVanseler
The father of our fantastic father-daughter duo, Jeff, has a love for cooking that stemmed from his childhood. His mom took great pleasure in cooking for company, and always made sure to include her family in the fun! Jeff’s dad, on the other hand, has spent over 50 years making potato salad for the German Park! Growing up in the kitchen and being surrounded by phenomenal cooks, his natural talent flourished. Jeff’s raw talent in the kitchen was truly showcased for the first time when he cooked for Mr. Toyota and family when they were visiting the U.S. After his debut into the culinary world, he began cooking for major automotive events sponsored by Detroit’s Big Three.
